As a municipality in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim, Ergersheim is centrally located between Bad Windsheim and Uffenheim. The cities of Ansbach, Neustadt an der Aisch, Ochsenfurt, and Rothenburg ob der Tauber are also in the immediate vicinity. As part of Middle Franconia, Ergersheim is also situated between Franconian Switzerland and the two nature parks, Steigerwald and Frankenhöhe.
The Franconian Lake District, with its wide range of water sports opportunities, is also within driving distance.
Ergersheim
Located on the Mittelfränkische Bocksbeutelstraße, Ergersheim is known above all for its viticulture, which is practiced on the Ergersheimer Altenberg on an area of approximately 12 hectares.
In addition, the establishment of MEKRA Lang - one of the region’s largest employers - now employs around 1,400 people at its Ergersheim location.
